Thus, as explained above, under analysis, cessation does not exist in the sense that things become non-matter. Nor does any newly arisen matter come into existence. Therefore, in the ultimate state, the nature of all phenomena and living beings is suchness; nothing is ever born and nothing ever ceases because their nature is emptiness. The sutra Condensation of the Perfect Dharma states:
