The Samkyai are certain that all knowledge is contained in twenty-five factors. The self is permanent; it is the person who is conscious and aware, yet it has neither nature nor form. The primordial substance is singular, permanent, beyond material or conscious perception, the creator of everything, and the cause of all animate and inanimate phenomena. Thus the Samkyai believe.
