| English | Madhyamika: Theravadin scriptures are also disputed by other schools, such as Hindu Logicians, and other non-Buddhists. Also, there are eighteen different schools within your own Theravadin tradition, and although the root is the same, you dispute with each other about the teachings. It follows that if the presence of dispute by other traditions were sufficient evidence to invalidate the scriptures, then your own schools’ scriptures would also be invalidated and need to be abandoned.
