The good quality of vastness is realization of the suchness of ultimate truth which is empty of both personal and phenomena self and completely realizes all the endless forms of knowable phenomena. The good quality of freedom from materialism is not being attached to the two extremes of samsara and nirvana. The good quality of great purpose is placing disciples in one of the three types of enlightenment according to their motivation. The good quality of inexhaustibility is continuing without ceasing, even in the state of nirvana without remainder, in order to completely hold all sentient beings through great compassion.[p.344]A Commentary on Shantideva's Engaging in the Conduct of the Bodhisattvas
