English

One might think, "It is not reasonable for the leg that hurts to be protected by the hand, but the physical body is a combination of various limbs that has long been thought to be a single body by the mind, therefore it is protected.” Anything that is unsuitable or causes suffering for oneself or others should be eliminated as much as possible, because the wish to protect arises due to long familiarization. From another point of view, abandon the thought of clinging to the body as a unitary self because it is unsuitable. Anything that is unsuitable to oneself or others should be discarded to the extent possible.
