English

Excessive attachments and indulgence in the five desire objects have a multitude of faults and disadvantages in this life and the next. For instance, lusting after others’ women causes severe suffering in this life, such as being killed, tied up, and stabbed. In the next life, it brings the endless suffering of falling into the realms of hell, hungry ghosts, animals, and the like. Therefore abandon conceptual thoughts that generate desire.
