English

Just as kings and great rulers are able to accomplish their goals by possessing four types of military forces, likewise, Bodhisattvas must develop the power of diligence through possessing the four forces of Dharma in order to accomplish the great goal of benefit and happiness for all sentient beings. These four forces are: motivation that wishes to begin virtuous Dharmas; stability that accomplishes the activities that have been begun; joy that delightedly wishes to engage in the Dharma; and setting aside for the time being in order to refresh if the activity cannot be accomplished.
