Those who do not engage in the Bodhisattvas’ conduct will be bound by their karma in this great suffering prison of samsara for millions and billions of eons. While trapped there, they will have countless experiences of having their arms and legs cut and slashed, being stabbed and pierced, burned in the fires of hell, beaten by blazing chains, and the like. These sufferings are purposeless, yet must be borne.
