| English | If ordinary beings accumulate merit through performing the three types of giving for many thousands of eons, venerating and taking refuge in the Three Jewels such as the Sugatas, and receiving and preserving the vows, virtue is accumulated. However, all of this can be destroyed instantly by a single thought of hateful anger toward those special objects that is not associated with the antidote, just as a small amount of fire can easily consume a large heap of straw without any difficulty.
