Having dwelt for a long time in the three lower realms, the leisure of being free from the eight unfavorable conditions, which is the most exalted of all leisures, has been attained, together with this precious human body. Now this opportunity must be made meaningful. Repeatedly think these and other similar thoughts with extreme certainty and clarity, as explained above. No matter what large, medium, or small situations arise, remain as unshakable as a mountain. Likewise, hold firm and do not be swayed by other conditions such as sinful friends; the difficulties of performing hardship; hearing of the happiness and peace of the Arhats and Prateka Buddhas; or other conditions.
