Bodhisattvas insatiably give everything impartially, including their own body and all of their possessions. Through this, others’ wishes are completely fulfilled, thus benefiting others in this life. By gathering disciples through giving, they place them in the state of virtue, thus benefiting others in future lives. In this way they completely mature their disciples. It is said:
