And an earnest request to the same effect came from Gyurme Thegchog Shedrup Gyaltsen Pel Zangpo, the tulku of the monastery of Yilhung Trashul, who has in this present age pledged himself to the excellent work of expounding and accomplishing the precious Doctrine of the Buddha (source of every benefit) in its aspects of transmission and realization. As a token of his sincerity, this same master—whose ways conform to the life and manners of the holy beings, upholders of the teaching—made the gift of a silk scarf; of a thangka painted in gold of the twenty-one Taras, the Courageous Ones, the mothers of the Buddhas and embodiments of their activities; and of a vajra and bell, together with paper for the composition and a promise to have the printing blocks made.
