English	By all means, then, before I start some work, That I might have the strength sufficient to the task, I will recall the teachings upon carefulness And lightly rise to what is to be done. By every means then, before embarking on any of our virtuous works and in order to be able to complete them all, we must reflect on the precepts to be implemented. And we should keep in mind the teachings described above, which show how we are to rely on carefulness. Then with a light heart we should apply ourselves to the task in hand swiftly and with pleasure.

Apramāda - A state of being careful and attentive in one's actions, words, and thoughts. It means staying alert to avoid doing things that cause harm and focusing on what is helpful and virtuous. It is often called the 'path to the deathless' because it prevents the mind from wandering into negative habits. Skt अप्रमाद  Tib བག་ཡོད་པ་  Ch 不放逸

Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment.
