English	And so the mighty Sage has spoken of the field of beings As well as of the field of Conquerors. Many who brought happiness to beings, Have passed beyond, attaining to perfection. Because it is in relation with hostile beings that we accomplish patience and the other virtues, it follows that the fertile ground in which the seed of buddhahood (the perfection of the twofold aim) is perfected consists of beings and Buddhas. Since the harvest of virtue will burgeon and grow on the basis of both of them, they are like fertile fields. This is something that the Sage, the Tathagata, has himself declared. For in the Sutra of Perfectly Pure Aspiration, he said:

Kṣānti - Patience is the ability to remain calm and composed when facing difficulties, suffering, or harm from others, without becoming angry or discouraged. Skt क्षान्ति  Tib བཟོད་པ་  Ch 忍;忍辱

Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment.
