Bodhicaryāpradīpa/Full text
The Bodhicaryāpradīpa (Lamp for the Practice of Awakening), a short verse text by Kamalaśīla translated into Tibetan by Jñānaguhya and Öngpo Lotsāwa, opens with a stark meditation on impermanence and the sufferings of death and the bardo, then uses this as motivation for a brisk tour through the essentials of bodhisattva training—from refuge, bodhicitta, and the six perfections to tantric practices of illusory body and clear light—urging the practitioner to tame the mind and pursue awakening without delay.
