The Social Science Association of Thailand (สมาคมสังคมศาสตร์แห่งประเทศไทย) was a real Thai scholarly association active from at least the 1960s through the 1970s. It's cited as publisher (sometimes jointly with the Thai Khadi Institute at Thammasat University) of several notable academic works—e.g., Thak Chaloemtiarana's Thailand: The Politics of Despotic Paternalism (Bangkok: Social Science Association of Thailand, Thai Khadi Institute, Thammasat University, 1979), and history/historiography volumes edited by Charnvit Kasetsiri and Suchat Sawatsri in the mid-1970s.

The imprint appears under slightly varying names across sources: "Social Science Association of Thailand," "Social Science Association Press of Thailand," and (in a Journal of Asian Studies review) simply "The Social Science Association Press." The Internet Archive catalogs at least one other 1960s book—Essays on Thai Folklore by Anuman Rajadhon—under the publisher "Social Science Association Press of Thailand," which supports that as a legitimate, consistently used form of the name.
