Current imprints include Snow Lion Publications, Bala Kids, and Roost Books

Shambhala was founded in 1969 by Sam Bercholz and Michael Fagan, in Berkeley, California. Its books are distributed by Random House.

Their home office is now in Boulder, Colorado.
