Julian Royce
Julian Royce, MA, LPC-C, holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in mindfulness based approaches to counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate.

He has done trainings with the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute on Mindfulness Informed Trauma Therapy (https://sensorimotorpsychotherapy.org) and in March 2021 completed training in EMDR trauma therapy with the Maiberger Institute (https://maibergerinstitute.com)

He also completed an intensive 10 month Life and Relationship Coaching program; he is a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor (at the Asheville Yoga Center), is a graduate of the Mindfulness in Schools training (https://mindfulnessinschools.org), and is an Integral Circling facilitator and Authentic Relating facilitator.

Julian also holds a Master of Arts in Religious & Buddhist Studies.

He has developed and taught courses on mindfulness for addicts, students and teenagers, run a successful tutoring and life coaching company, taught yoga and workshops on connection, relating and mindfulness. He has worked with individuals, couples, and groups over the last 8 years as a coach and therapist.

Meditation Background:

A life long student of meditation and especially of the vast and profound Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist teachings, he brings his 17 years of experience in meditation practice, yoga and philosophy to his work as a therapist and coach. He has been a student of the meditation master Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche since meeting him in 2005 in Both Gaya, India. He has personally studied with many other meditation masters including The Dalai Lama, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Mingyur Rinpoche, Dr. Reginald Ray, Thict Nhat Hanh, Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, Dr. Nida Chenagtsang, Lama Tenpa, Chokling Rinpoche, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, B. Alan Wallace, Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche, Anam Thubten Rinpoche, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, Thrangu Rinpoche, Tulku Yeshe Rinpoche, and other wonderful teachers as well as the faculty at Naropa University.
