Devaghoṣa

རྙི་བ་དེ་བ་གྷོ་ཥ

Lo tsā ba Rnyi ba de ba g+ho sha (Devaghoṣa; also known as Jñānadevaghoṣa) was an 8th-century Indian translator. He studied under Lha zhi ba 'od and is known primarily as the translator of the Byang chub kyi ltung ba bshags pa'i 'grel pa, a commentary on the confession of transgressions of bodhisattvas, attributed to Nāgārjuna.

Bodhisattva - A person who seeks enlightenment for the sake of others. In Mahāyāna Buddhism, a bodhisattva is a compassionate being who is training on the path to buddhahood and aspires to eliminate the suffering of all beings and take all sentient beings to the state of enlightenment.
