You Feng Publishing

You Feng Publishing is located in the heart of the famous Latin Quarter, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. Founded in 1976 by Henri Kim, who was made a Chevalier des arts et des lettres in 1997 for his contribution to the influence of Chinese culture, this publishing house has set itself the editorial line of publishing texts on Asia and more particularly on China.

A general publishing house that has published the greatest classics of Chinese literature as well as more contemporary authors from China and Taiwan, You Feng also publishes the works of many French and foreign researchers. In addition, the publishing house has a solid catalog of books on traditional Chinese medicine and many dictionaries of Asian languages.

After introducing the French public to The Legend of the Eagle-Hunting Hero by the famous Jin Yong and The Epic of the Three Kingdoms, You Feng Publishing has published the Historical Memoirs of Se-ma Ts'ien, a nine-volume translation of the complete works of the historian of Chinese antiquity Sima Qian. This herculean task, begun at the dawn of the 20th century by Édouard Chavannes, was completed in the 21st century by Jacques Pimpaneau.

With more than 1000 works published to date, You Feng Editions is one of the references for understanding and appreciating Asian culture. (Source Accessed Oct 23, 2024)
