Qinghai Ethnic Publishing House is committed to actively promoting the (communist) party’s line, principles and policies , and adhering to the correct direction of public opinion and publishing guidelines, as well as disseminating and carrying forward the fine national culture. It has dedicated itself to ethnic languages publication covering almost every area including publishing books on politics, economy, philosophy, history, religion, classics, dictionaries, literature, art, science and technology, books for kids and education genre; it also publishes “Sbrang char” journal, “Gangchen Youth” newspaper, as well as publishes textbooks for primary and secondary schools in Qinghai. “Sbrang char” is the nation’s only comprehensive Tibetan literary quarterly journal and since it’s founding in 1981,has focused on promoting social benefit and artistic taste. Because of its excellent quality, it has received praise from a wide majority of authors, readers, and both domestic and foreign scholars in the field. The journal has been regarded as the Tibetan's "People's Literature."
