J.C.B. Mohr (Paul Siebeck), now known as Mohr Siebeck, is a longstanding academic publisher with its roots dating back to 1801.

The publishing house was originally founded in 1801 in Frankfurt am Main as the Hermann'sche Buchhandlung. It later became the university bookshop in Heidelberg in 1805. In 1880, Paul Siebeck took over the operations of J.C.B. Mohr Verlag and relocated to Freiburg im Breisgau, renaming it "Akademische Buchhandlung von J.C.B. Mohr (Paul Siebeck)".

By the late 19th century, the publishing house had expanded its influence to the universities of Freiburg, Tübingen, and Heidelberg, and by the turn of the 20th century, it had established numerous international contacts. Paul Siebeck focused the publishing program on liberal theology, philosophy, constitutional law, civil law, and national economics. In 1899, the publishing house returned to Tübingen, where it remains based today.
