Meicho-Fukyū-Kai

Meicho-Fukyū-Kai (名著普及会, "The Association for Publishing Academic Masterpieces") was a Tokyo-based Japanese publisher specializing in facsimile reprints of important scholarly works, active primarily in the 1970s and 1980s. The press made rare or out-of-print academic titles more widely accessible by producing high-quality photographic reproductions of original editions. Its list included both Japanese and Western scholarly works across a range of disciplines. Among its reprints was Émile Senart's critical edition of the Mahāvastu (3 vols., originally published 1882–1897 by the Imprimerie nationale, Paris, for the Société Asiatique), reissued in Tokyo in 1977.
