Imprimerie nationale
The Imprimerie Nationale is an institution of the French State responsible for the production of official documents. Inherited from a printing press created in 1538 with royal privilege, its status evolved with political and technological changes to become, in 1993, a limited company with state capital. Known under the IN Groupe brand in order "to be more [visible] on the international market and more [attractive] for new talents," it is a leading company in the field of the production of secure documents, such as as identity cards and passports, but also a supplier of public utility identification applications.
