Bloomsbury Publishing
Greenwood Press is an academic and reference publishing imprint founded in 1967 by Harold Mason and Harold Schwartz, initially based in Westport, Connecticut. Originally focused on reprinting out-of-print scholarly works, Greenwood Press developed into a major publisher of reference works, scholarly monographs, and edited volumes in the humanities and social sciences, including religion, history, literature, and cultural studies. The parent company, Greenwood Publishing Group, also operated the related imprints Praeger Publishers and Libraries Unlimited. In 2008 Greenwood Publishing Group was acquired by ABC-CLIO, and the Greenwood Press imprint was discontinued, with its titles and programs transferred to ABC-CLIO and its associated imprints, now part of Bloomsbury Publishing.
