Dondup Foundation

The Dondup Foundation is a philanthropic organization in Germany primarily known for its role in preserving and translating foundational Tibetan Buddhist texts. They specifically coordinated and edited Markus Viehbeck's seminal English translation of the text Gongchig: The Single Intent, the Sacred Dharma, which outlines the philosophy of interdependence and ethics from the early Drikung Kagyu master Jigten Sumgon.

Kagyu - The Kagyu school traces its origin to the eleventh-century translator Marpa, who studied in India with Nāropa. Marpa's student Milarepa trained Gampopa, who founded the first monastery of the Kagyu order. As many as twelve subtraditions grew out from there, the best known being the Karma Kagyu, the Drikung, and the Drukpa. Tib བཀའ་བརྒྱུད་
