Brepols Publishers is an international academic publisher of works in the humanities, founded in 1796 and located in a 17th-century building in the historic beguinage of Turnhout, Belgium. With a particular focus on history, archaeology, history of the arts, language and literature, and critical editions of source works, Brepols has remained an entirely independent firm since its establishment. Its publications include the Brepols, Harvey Miller, and Corpus Christianorum imprints, and it hosts world-leading academic databases via its BREPOLiS platform. Brepols also runs its own research centre in Turnhout and distributes print and e-books on behalf of editorial partners. The press has offices in Thessaloniki and an editorial presence in France, Australia, and the USA.
