Acorn Press
Acorn Press is a small independent publisher based in Durham, North Carolina, founded in 1980–81 by Avinash C. Maheshwary, who has run it continuously from the same Wyldewood Road address ever since. In the mid-1980s the firm published small-run academic and specialty volumes, including New Paths in Buddhist Research (ed. Anthony K. Warder, 1985). Today the operation functions primarily as a small local print and copy shop.
